John Taylor
John Taylor John Taylor has been active in ministry with the Church of England for many years, in parishes, theological colleges (he was vice-principal of Oak Hill for eight years), and as Bishop of St Albans (from 1980 to 1995). Since stepping down from his diocese he has devoted himself to the Bible Society, and to the work of Tyndale House and the Biblical Research Library. He wrote the Tyndale Commentary on Ezekiel. He is married to Linda – a former probation officer and social worker – and they have three children, all in Christian ministry, and six grandchildren. He continues as an assistant bishop, both in the Diocese of Ely and the Diocese in Europe.

Genesis 12:1 - 3

For Abraham to leave his land, equipped with only an altar and a tent, was to show God's all-time people the true marks of pilgrimage. The times of prosperity for Abraham were times of spiritual poverty. The call today is for true pilgrims!
